If you have young children, you know how hard it is to teach them phonics...I used to teach Pre-K and saw how hard it was for some children to grasp this concept. I was recently introduced to the Godfrey Method, and was unsure as to how it would work. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the concept was, and how much fun the kids thought it was!
If your looking for a fun and interesting way to teach your kids letter
sounds, this book is great! The cards are so adorable, & The artwork is fantastic. The Letter sounds
are depicted by pictures {that begin with the same sound as the letter}
that help the child remember the symbols that make up written language. I think m {mouth} is my
favorite, it makes me & my kids laugh. In Pre-K we would draw a picture and have the letter next to it...I never once thought to put the letter over it like Shannah has done...ingenious! This is a very valuable book to help your child become a better reader and
student in school. It does this by holding their interest, while
helping to improve the basics of eye-mind, word-recognition. I highly recommend it.
This
is an amazing way to teach your kids to read before
kindergarten {or help after}! You get a two for one deal: a fun, and colorful story and a wonderful
set of phonics cards with instructions. Such a great value {If you have bought both separate you know what I mean}!
