About:
Repurpose was founded in 2009 by a group of young environmental
entrepreneurs, looking for quality solutions to the problem of single use
petroleum based plastic products. After searching and finding few
quality and cost competitive compostable solutions, they decided to
manufacture their own. Repurpose was born with its mission to replace
all single use disposable plastics with high quality, innovative, plant
based alternatives. Repurpose makes products from plants, not petroleum,
using Ingeo™ resin and meet ASTM 6400 compostability standards.
Repurpose products are now available to consumers and
to businesses allowing everyone the opportunity to lessen their
dependence on oil, lower their carbon footprint, and find non-toxic,
safe alternatives to plastic.

What We Thought;
As a busy mom on the go, I am always
running out of the house with a cup of tea or coffee, on my
way to a play date or doctor's appointment with the girls. I can't tell
you how many times I have tried to take my plastic travel cups, only to forget
them. And, I hate using Styrofoam cups. These cups were great! I asked the hubby to take them to work and have his hard working guys put them to the test as well. They enjoyed the fact that they were eco-friendly, and loved that they were compostable! They agreed with me, that
the hot beverage stayed hotter in these insulated cups,
compared to the other disposable cups, or even plastic cups. They also
liked not having to worry about burning their hands while holding the
cup, or the need to double cup or use a carrier.These guys drink a lot of coffee on the go, and enjoyed trying this new sustainable product. The only issue they had was they said the lids didn't fit right and kept popping off. I think they are just too rough...I had no problem with them...and neither does all the celebs that use them....The best part about
this hot insulated cup was that when you are done, is that it is 100%
compostable. So, not only are you getting to drink a hot beverage with
ease and have it be kept warmer longer, but you are also helping the
environment once you dispose of the cup, as it will break down (meaning
no landfill build up)..I'm so ecstatic that I could try and share this wonderful product with all of you! I can't wait to see what they come up with next...
