Every year we rush around trying to get those last minute gifts that we have to get under the tree. But how many of us actually stop to remember what the holiday is all about?!
Joseph Peter Simini, a 90 yr old retired Distinguished Professor of Accounting from the University of San Francisco, has devoted his retirement to remind others to Keep Christ in Christmas. He has made a CD that was started in response to the orders of two "big-box" retailers to their clerks not to say Merry Christmas to their customers but to say Happy Holidays. These changes bothered him and many other families like mine came to America and brought with them traditions of the Christmas season - the celebration of Christ's Birth!!
How many of you put up the manger or say grace, or even talk to your children about Christmas. I do...it may not sink in with all those gifts glooming over, but I always remind them of what the day is really for!
