We decided to take the boys to San Antonio for there last weekend before school started. We got up and left the house at 7 am....boy were we all tired! We made it to the Zoo around 9:30 or so, the boys were super excited. Now let me say this, have you ever went somewhere that you used to go all the time as a kid, and been disappointed...well that was this instance, i remember the zoo being so much more enjoyable. We felt like we were at Jurassic Park half the time, with all the no shows...i guess it was too hot for most of them. Then were not even a quarter of the way through...and my camera craps out on me....We finished walking the zoo in the 100* heat, then we went and road the train...that was pretty cool, the boys loved it.
After the Zoo we went to check in to the hotel I booked, Four Points by the Sheraton, then went and ate Pizza Hut. After that we went back to the hotel to shower and get ready to walk the river walk, and dinner. We road the Rio River Boat Tour (totally not worth the money), then we walked the river walk to the Hard Rock Cafe. I think me and the hubby were more excited about that, than the kids were..lol...then back to the hotel for an early night...a whole day in 100*+ weather is exhausting.
Sunday we got up, went down for a tasty breakfast and check out. Then we started to just drive around and saw a sign for a Mission...we followed the signs and ended up visiting three different missions ... surprisingly the boys were actually digging the history. We finally started to head home around 12:30, and stoped off to eat at BK and get some gas. Two hours later we were home, and i realized i left the diaper bag (with my wallet and phone) at BK. My Hubby drove two hours back to get it...needless to say, he wasn't too happy with me, I didn't do it on purpose!
