Release Date: May 2011
When the wise-cracking whiz kid, Puggie Liddell’s modified Gameboy activates a time portal, he lands in the 1890s with his sibling rival, annoyingly prissy teen sister, Gigi, who thinks history is like-totally-gross. The kids must learn to work together to find a time portal back to the present before the eccentric scientist, Nikola Tesla*, or his arch nemesis, inventor Thomas Edison*, can steal the Gameboy and use it to complete a death ray machine, an invention powerful enough to disturb the very fabric of space-time and create an instantaneous world disaster. This novel is fast-paced and fun. Perfect for kids on the go or with shorter attention spans, like mine. You can check out a sample chapter here. Follow Karen Mueller Bryson on Facebook and Twitter

The Magnesium Miracle is a fabulous book written by Carolyn Dean, M.D., N.D. who is a health pioneer and was one of the first to see the coming childhood obesity, diabetes and chronic health issues epidemic in the U.S. As a result of modern farming methods, she saw the depletion of vital minerals and nutrients from our soils and foods as a root cause of America;s health problems with over 75% of Americans not getting their RDA of the vital nutrient "magnesium". This sparked Dr. Dean to write the book The Magnesium Miracle. Because magnesium is so crucial to the proper functioning of organs and systems throughout the body, magnesium deficiency can have a variety of effects on these systems and organs. Just to name a few (and i do mean a few!)
- Cardiovascular: Irregualr heartbeats
- Digestive: Constipation
- Urinary: Kidney Stones
- Reproductive: Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS)
- Metabolism: Diabetes
And so many more...I found Dr. Dean's book very interesting and am thinking it's time for a lifestyle change. I had no idea how important magnesium is. In her book she gives you new ways your body can absorb magnesium, new magnesium-rich eating plan, and information on the link between magnesium and obesity. This book is a must read for anyone with concerns about their or their families health.
